Effective January 1, 2018, all Basic Law Enforcement Class 1 candidates must have a valid psychological evaluation administered during the pre-employment phase of the hiring process prior to an agency’s offer of employment.

The agencies using the contracts awarded as a result of this solicitation require a source of qualified providers to administer human reliability interviews with the candidates per guidelines issued by the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, dated September 24, 2020, (see Attachment A) and future-issued guidelines during the term of this contract. Note:  Any changes to the guidelines during the contract term will automatically be incorporated into the resulting contracts. These assessments are intended to provide the using government unit’s personnel with information regarding the suitability of individual candidates as a Class 1 certified law enforcement employee. This information will be used as part of the selection process for officers.
